This 2027 US calendar covers nuclear energy conferences, policy forums, technical workshops, trade-oriented gatherings, and related power-industry events. Typical participants include nuclear industry professionals, public power representatives, energy community leaders, policymakers, engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and researchers. The sample locations span major US energy and policy centers, including Salt Lake City, San Diego, Knoxville, Phoenix, Charlotte, Washington, DC, New Orleans, and Tucson.

Recurring themes include nuclear energy policy, project finance, waste management, cybersecurity implementation, power-plant materials and repair, and instrumentation and human-machine interfaces. Several gatherings also connect nuclear topics with broader electricity generation, clean technology, public power, and energy-community concerns, reflecting the sector’s operational, technical, financial, and regulatory dimensions.

    ASM International · Tucson, AZ

Batteries & Energy Storage · Nuclear · Power & Utilities

The 11th edition of this conference, organized jointly by EPRI and ASM International at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, builds on a legacy dating to EPRI's 1987 inaugural event, having rotated across Europe, the UK, North America, and the Pacific, with the most recent prior edition held in California in 2025. The technical program addresses materials, manufacturing, performance, and repair technologies for steam power systems (HRSGs, boilers, steam turbines), gas turbines, concentrating solar power, geothermal energy, small modular reactors and advanced nuclear technologies, sCO₂ power cycles, advanced ultra-supercritical steam systems, and hydrogen and bulk thermal energy storage. Key technical tracks include advanced manufacturing (additive manufacturing via PBF and DED, powder metallurgy hot isostatic pressing, advanced welding and cladding), codes and standards, component-specific challenges (castings, forgings, blades, rotors, valves), damage mechanisms (creep, creep-fatigue interaction, stress relaxation cracking, oxidation, corrosion, wear), high-temperature materials (superalloys, CSEF steels, stainless steels, intermetallics, coatings), performance and life management (failure analysis, modeling, fitness-for-service methodologies), and repair and refurbishment technologies. Monday pre-conference sessions include a Nuclear WRTC TAC Meeting and the 5th EPRI Supply Chain Workshop for Structural Components in Advanced Energy Systems. Friday post-conference sessions, open to EPRI members or by invitation, include Generation Materials Technology Transfer, the Advanced Reactor Materials Advisory Group, and the Nuclear Welding and Repair Technology Center. The conference draws utilities and power producers, OEMs and equipment suppliers, materials manufacturers, advanced manufacturing companies, national laboratories, universities, and engineering and consulting organizations.
