Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Westapps LLC, operator of Sovereignty Founders ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Sovereignty Founders (the "Service"). This policy describes what we collect and why.

01.

Information we collect

Information you give us

If you contact us — for example to ask a question, report an inaccurate listing, or request a removal — we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

Account information

You may create an account using your email address (via a one-time verification code) or by signing in with your Google account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google via our authentication provider. We use this information solely to create and maintain your account on the Service — we do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.

User-generated content and preferences

When you use the Service with an account, we store the data you create, including: attendance status on events, comments on events, private notes on events, saved search filters, saved organizations, notification preferences, timezone, and an optional free-text AI event preference that customizes your chat experience. If you are on a Team plan, your team membership, role, and any team-scoped saved filters are also stored.

Calendar feeds

If you generate a personal calendar feed, we store the associated access token on your account. Calendar feeds contain your attended events and are accessible via a secret URL without further authentication.

Billing information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe (our payment processor) collects and processes your payment information. We currently accept payment methods issued by U.S. financial institutions only. We store your Stripe customer identifier to manage your subscription, but we do not store your payment card details — those are held by Stripe under their own privacy policy and PCI compliance.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and infrastructure providers automatically log technical information when you visit, which may include your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and the date and time of your request. Application logs may also incidentally contain personal information such as email addresses when processing authenticated requests. We use logs for security, to operate and debug the Service, and to understand aggregate usage. Logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Service — for example, which pages and event categories are viewed, which filters are used, and whether you saved an event, signed in, or submitted the contact form. This data is associated with an analytics identifier rather than your name or email, and we use it to improve the Service, not to build advertising profiles. Google processes this data under its own terms and may use it for its own purposes, including advertising, unless you opt out — see U.S. state privacy rights. See Cookies and analytics below for the cookies this involves.

Advertising measurement (Google Ads)

We use Google Ads conversion tracking, which uses cookies, to measure which of our ads lead to sign-ups and subscriptions. This includes sharing a hashed form of the email address you enter on the Service with Google. You can opt out using the privacy choices link in the footer.

Publicly available event data

The Service aggregates publicly available information about events, venues, organizers, and speakers from third-party websites and public sources using automated collection methods (including web scraping and artificial intelligence). This information is factual in nature — such as event titles, dates, locations, and descriptions — and is drawn from materials the organizers themselves have made publicly available.

This includes names and professional affiliations of speakers and panelists associated with listed events. These individuals may not have accounts on the Service. If you are a named individual, organizer, or venue and would like your information corrected or removed, please see the Copyright & Content Removal section of our Terms of Service. We honor valid removal requests and will not relist removed information without consent.

An account is required to access most features of the Service.

02.

How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • To aggregate and display publicly available event information;
  • To process your subscription and manage your account;
  • To power AI features, including the chat assistant and event recommendations;
  • To respond to your inquiries and removal or correction requests;
  • To send transactional emails (welcome, billing, trial, and notification digests) and in-app notifications;
  • To monitor for, prevent, and address security issues, abuse, and technical problems;
  • To understand aggregate usage trends so we can make the Service better;
  • To measure the effectiveness of our own advertising on Google;
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not build behavioral profiles of you. For how Google may use analytics and advertising measurement data, and how to opt out, see U.S. state privacy rights below.

03.

AI and automated processing

The Service uses third-party large language models (currently from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google) to power the AI chat assistant, the event ingestion pipeline, and related features such as speaker name disambiguation and semantic event search (via text embeddings).

When you use the AI chat, the content of your conversation — including any AI event preference you have set — is sent to the active language model provider to generate a response. Your conversations are processed in accordance with each provider's API terms.

The AI assistant also has read-only access to platform data (events, speakers, organizations) and to your saved events and saved organizations to answer your questions, and may perform web searches on your behalf. It does not access your private notes, comments, or billing details.

05.

U.S. state privacy rights

If you are a resident of California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to correct it, to request deletion, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, some state laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to cover making analytics and advertising measurement data available to Google, because Google may use that data for its own purposes, including cross-context behavioral advertising. In the past 12 months, the categories of personal information this may involve are identifiers (such as the analytics identifier, IP address, and a hashed form of your email address), internet activity on the Service, and commercial information (such as whether you signed up or subscribed). We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

To opt out, use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" privacy choices link in the footer of any page. Your choice is saved in that browser, so repeat it on each browser or device you use. We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a valid opt-out request, with no further action needed from you.

To exercise any other privacy right available under your state's law, or to appeal a decision we make about your request, email us at contact@sovereigntyfounders.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent to submit one on your behalf.

06.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small set of cookies and local storage entries to keep you signed in, keep the Service working, understand aggregate usage, and measure our own advertising.

What we use

  • Authentication cookies — set when you sign in so the Service can recognize your session.
  • Preference cookies — store your display preferences (such as light/dark mode and layout choices) for up to one year.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage such as which pages and features are used.
  • Advertising measurement cookies — set by Google (such as the conversion linker cookie) to attribute sign-ups and subscriptions to the Google ads that led to them.
  • Local storage — used to store preferences, including your privacy choices, on your device.

If you browse without signing in, the only cookies set are analytics and advertising measurement cookies.

What we do not use

Apart from Google as described above, we do not use cookies or tracking pixels from ad networks, and we do not sell or share cookie data with ad networks or data brokers.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies, and clear local storage, through your browser settings at any time. Blocking the authentication cookies will sign you out; blocking analytics or advertising measurement cookies will not affect how the Service works for you. To stop your data from being used for advertising without blocking cookies, use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer.

07.

How we share information

We share personal information only in limited circumstances:

  • With infrastructure and hosting providers necessary to operate the Service;
  • With our authentication provider, which processes your sign-in credentials on our behalf; when you sign in with Google, your authentication is also handled by Google as an identity provider under their own privacy policy;
  • With Stripe, our payment processor, which handles billing and subscription management;
  • With AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) to process chat conversations and power AI features, under data processing terms that prohibit training on your data;
  • With Google, through Google Analytics for aggregate usage analysis and Google Ads for advertising measurement (including hashed email addresses for enhanced conversions), as described above — you can opt out of Google using this data for advertising, as described in U.S. state privacy rights;
  • With our email delivery provider, to send transactional emails (welcome, billing, notifications);
  • With our error tracking provider for application monitoring;
  • When required by law, legal process, subpoena, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or us;
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in how your information is handled.

Apart from the Google Analytics and Google Ads data described above, we do not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

08.

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Account data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing contact@sovereigntyfounders.com; when you do, we permanently delete your profile, comments, notes, saved filters, attendance records, calendar feed tokens, and other user-generated content within a reasonable time.

We may retain limited information after deletion where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our Terms — for example, billing transaction records required for tax or accounting purposes, or records of content-removal requests. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and maintain a reasonable record.

09.

Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure cookie flags, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@sovereigntyfounders.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12.

International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards to protect your information when it is transferred internationally.

13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy — including the cookies and local storage described above — from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice or, where required by law, obtain your consent first. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
