21st Annual API Cybersecurity Conference for the Oil and Natural Gas Industry

Held annually since 2005, the conference is the only cybersecurity event dedicated to the oil and natural gas industry, run with a volunteer-driven planning committee and speaker program focused on safety, best practices, and innovation. The 2026 program includes more than 60 presentations across three tracks covering a Leadership Panel on CISO Showdown, Application Security and SecDevOps, Compliance and New Regulations, ICS Cyber Security, Identity and Access Management, a Cyber Incident Management Workshop, Next Generation SOC and Security Orchestration, Generative AI Platform Risks and Security, Zero Trust, Threat Hunting and Threat Intelligence, Cyber Security Insurance, Addressing the Human Element, and Cyber Security Architecture, plus a 20th Anniversary Retrospective and Past Chair Panel. Tyler Williams delivers a keynote on a new cybersecurity KPI framework called Goal Zero, designed to measure cyber resilience for energy and industrial organizations rather than relying on compliance scores or maturity assessments. Mario Chiock, past chair of the API Cybersecurity Sub-Committee and involved in forming the ONG-ISAC, presents a keynote titled "AI Made Me Do It: Confessions of an AI-Era CISO." Catharina Budiharto, former CISO for Fortune 500 oil and gas companies and past chairman of the API IT Security Subcommittee, also keynotes. Attendees can earn Continuing Professional Education credits.
