About

John Thornton and John Baum discuss Pittsburgh’s opportunity in the commercial space economy, including sustained lunar presence, emerging business opportunities, and ways companies in robotics, manufacturing, software, artificial intelligence, materials, and energy can participate. The program includes a mission spotlight on Voyager’s Griffin 1 lunar mission, including its planned lunar-south-pole landing, commercial and government payloads, Astrolab’s FLIP rover, Voyager’s CubeRover, and long-term lunar exploration and infrastructure development. The program is followed by a tour of the Moonshot Museum.
