The conference examines how the Southeast will meet rapidly increasing electricity demand from data centers and manufacturing facilities. Topics include power procurement and investment for large loads; utility-commission responses to affordability, environmental, and speed-to-power concerns; interconnection, cost allocation, power procurement, and customer green tariffs; the balance between decarbonization commitments and reliability; renewable generation and gas-fired capacity; standalone and co-located storage for reliability and resilience; siting and permitting opposition; post-ITC development strategies; and the potential effects of the November election on energy policy and developer strategies.
