About

Open to all. Hosted by GTI Energy’s HyRes, Webber Energy Group at UT Austin, Hydrogen ProtoHub, and the Open Hydrogen Initiative. The program covers the current state of hydrogen, including project pipelines, cost and demand signals, developer headwinds, and near-term opportunities; federal and state hydrogen policy, incentives, and permitting; laboratory and academic advances in hydrogen detection and quantification; sensing requirements for low-concentration releases; hydrogen sensing for e-SAF, ammonia, and methanol; and sensing challenges associated with geologic hydrogen, including surface and subsurface detection, exploration screening, and monitoring around wells and storage formations. Additional sessions address international hydrogen project development, industrial clusters, offtake and export markets, international emissions measurement and regulation, radiative forcing, the hydrogen soil sink, sensing requirements in production and midstream operations, end-use environments such as industrial, power, mobility, and fueling applications, and novel sensing materials and platforms. The program also includes a Hydrogen ProtoHub tour and controlled hydrogen release, a student poster session, and tours of hydrogen-enabled energy and supercomputing facilities. Intended audiences include government agencies and regulators, academic researchers, oil and gas companies, utilities, hydrogen producers and project developers, environmental organizations, sensor and monitoring companies, startups, investors, and industry coalitions.
