As the only IEEE financially sponsored flagship conference focused entirely on electric machines and drives, IEMDC-2027 marks its 30th anniversary by returning to Milwaukee, the city where the first edition was organized in 1997. Milwaukee serves as a national industry hub for electric machines and power electronic drives, home to numerous companies and research universities. The conference provides a platform to demonstrate technologies in electric machines, power electronic drives, and motion controls, with dedicated programs for paper submissions, technical presentations, and exhibits of motor and drive-related products. It is sponsored by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, Power Electronics Society, Industry Applications Society, and Power & Energy Society. General Chair JiangBiao He leads the organizing committee.
