About
Hosted by WGA Chair Josh Green, the meeting brings together Western Governors, special guests, and experts for discussions on regional policy and economic development. Agenda themes include “The Future of Pacific Prosperity and U.S. Regional Security,” focused on cooperation among states, territories, and the federal government to identify and mitigate emerging risks, strengthen regional resilience, and advance shared security and prosperity. “Building Energy Infrastructure” examines how states, developers, and local leaders can use large energy projects to meet growing electricity demand, attract investment, expand local tax bases, and support community growth. Additional sessions address workplace safety and mental-health risks under “Health Beyond Healthcare” and sustainable economic development under “Honoring Heritage through Regenerative Tourism.” Opening remarks are listed for WGA Executive Director Jack Waldorf and Governor Josh Green, who is also listed for the closing session.
