About
The Georgia Tech Manufacturing 4.0 Consortium focuses on moving from automation to autonomy, including intelligent and connected systems, decision-making, optimization, adaptive control, autonomous manufacturing systems, the government-driven Genesis Mission, and Programmable Cloud Laboratories. Manufacturing 4.0 Consortium sessions include “Programmable Cloud Laboratories: The AI Materials and Manufacturing Pilot Facility Node (PCL-AIMMPF)” with Aaron Stebner; “The Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation (CAMINO) at Sandia” with Brad Boyce; “The Alabama Materials Institute” with Greg Thompson; “Autonomous Robotic Metallurgist Materials Innovation Platform (ARM-MIP)” with Raymundo Arroyave; and “Programmable Cloud Laboratories: The AI for Materials Design Laboratory Node (PCL-AIMD-L)” with Todd Hufnagel. The program also includes Industry Technology Exhibition & Demonstrations. The Internet of Things for Manufacturing Symposium addresses equipment connectivity, data collection and use, implementation lessons, standards, connectivity and interoperability, digital twins, additive manufacturing, actionable manufacturing data, industrial IoT, and factory automation. Sessions include “OPC UA and the Future of Industrial Interoperability,” “Advanced Manufacturing Through Digital Technologies and Digital Twins,” “TOTO's Digital Transformation Journey: Lessons from the Factory Floor,” “Advanced Manufacturing: From Automation to Additive Manufacturing,” “Turning Manufacturing Data into Actionable Information,” “Why the Digital Transformation Often Dies a Slow Death on the Factory Floor,” “From Machine to Data: Practical Industrial IoT for Manufacturing,” and “Automation and Advanced Manufacturing: Technologies Shaping the Factories of the Future.” The symposium also includes AMPF tour stations and demonstrations.
