EPIC administrators present EPIC 5 investment plans and discuss proposed strategic initiatives, research topic areas, and budgets addressing CPUC-approved objectives. The agenda covers reducing medium- and heavy-duty vehicle charging infrastructure costs; overcoming barriers to electric-vehicle benefits in disadvantaged communities; expediting and streamlining interconnection and energization processes; providing data input into a Value of DER framework; and optimizing feeder and circuit operations. The workshop also addresses transportation electrification, distributed energy resource integration, building decarbonization, climate adaptation, and achieving net-zero emissions with the coordinated role of gas. Participants may ask questions and provide feedback on proposed EPIC investment portfolios. The Accelerate Group facilitates under the guidance of CPUC Energy Division’s Climate & Equity Initiatives Section.
